Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges return with the Honda Step WGN at Suzuka

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges return with the Honda Step WGN at Suzuka

Gran Turismo 7’s next Weekly Challenges go live this Friday, October 23, and the new set again combines five events, a seven-day window and bonus tickets for clearing milestones. According to GTPlanet, the rotation runs through midnight local time on Thursday, October 29, when the next batch arrives.

The format will be familiar to anyone who has finished the GT Cafe career path. Weekly Challenges unlock after clearing Menu Book 39 and watching the ending movie, then present four standard World Circuits races and one Special Event. Bonus reward tickets arrive after one, three and five completions, and GTPlanet says the full set adds up to roughly 1.3 million credits in cash and prizes once clean-race bonuses are included.

Honda’s Step WGN gets the Special Event slot

The standout race goes to the Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23, which headlines a four-lap one-make event at Suzuka Circuit East Course for 45,000cr. The Step WGN is one of the six cars added in Gran Turismo 7’s 1.72 update last week. GTPlanet notes that it costs 37,000cr in Brand Central and is the first car in GT7 with three engine swap options.

This week’s set leans heavily on that same update. The Step WGN is the clearest example, but the rotation also includes a new World Circuits race that arrived in 1.72, giving the event list a stronger link to the latest content than a routine weekly board usually has.

Interlagos brings the biggest payout

The top reward of the week comes from Autodromo de Interlagos, where World Touring Car 900 runs 12 laps for cars up to 900PP and pays 170,000cr. It is the only race in the schedule with the multipliers turned up, at 8x fuel consumption and 8x tire wear.

Next in line is the European Clubman Cup 600 at Dragon Trail Seaside Reverse. That four-lap race is for European road cars and pays 75,000cr, making it the second-highest-paying event in the set. It is also one of the new World Circuits races from the 1.72 update.

The Evolution Meeting at Autodromo Nazionale Monza sits in the middle of the pack with four laps for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions and a 70,000cr prize. At the other end of the scale, the Jimny Cup at Lake Louise Short Track Reverse is a three-lap race for the two Suzuki Jimny ’18 models on snow tires, with a 35,000cr win reward. It is the shortest race on the board and the lowest-paying one.

Weekly rewards and Power Pack tickets

The standard completion tickets for the five-event set stay the same:

  • 1 event complete: 100,000cr Credit Ticket
  • 3 events complete: 200,000cr Credit Ticket
  • 5 events complete: 500,000cr Credit Ticket

Players who own the Power Pack DLC also get a separate reward track this week. GTPlanet says there is no fixed race list for it: the requirement is to finish, not win, any three events, and the rewards refresh on the same schedule as the main challenges. The first two tiers match the standard completion tickets, while the three-race reward is a Six-Star Roulette Ticket (Car) instead of a credit ticket.

The Power Pack rewards are:

  • 1 race completed: 100,000cr Credit Ticket
  • 2 races completed: 200,000cr Credit Ticket
  • 3 races completed: Six-Star Roulette Ticket (Car)

The tickets land in the Gifts section and must be claimed before they expire, so this week’s board is built around a straightforward mix of new content and familiar race types. The schedule closes with the next Weekly Challenges and a fresh round of Power Pack rewards arriving after midnight local time on Thursday, October 29.

not really wild, gt7 does this all the time now. the weird car choice is kinda the point, and Suzuka East should make it actually funny to drive

nah i’m with c1 on this one. a Step WGN one-make at Suzuka East is exactly the kind of dumb side event that makes GT weeklys worth booting up for.

yeah and the 8x fuel at Interlagos makes it less free money than it looks. still, 170k for 12 laps is a nice grind if you have a stable tune.
