The best free basketball browser games on Sports Games Plus

Basketball works well in a browser because the basic loop is easy to read: aim, release, score, repeat. Sports Games Plus has a wide mix of basketball games, from simple shooting tests to strange setups with moles, dinosaurs, and skeletons. The best picks here stay short and direct, with challenge coming from timing, accuracy, or a small twist on the usual shot.

Shooting Threes

Shooting Threes is the most focused pure shooting challenge in the group. The game asks you to make 3-point shots while checking the wind before each attempt, since cross-winds affect the shot and the board shows their direction and power. You also get 2 minutes to score as many points as possible, which makes it a good pick for a quick scoring run.

Farball

Farball is built for high-score chasing. The page says to drag and release the ball to aim and shoot, and it adds power-ups, coin rewards for every successful shot, and new ball skins to unlock. As the score rises, the game gets harder, so it suits players who like a challenge that keeps tightening while they keep going.

Basketmole

Basketmole is the oddball entry, and it leans into that. It is a physics-based 1vs1 basketball game with moles, where you drive your mole left and right with the mouse and try to bounce the ball into the opponent’s basket. The alarm clock bonus adds extra time, so the match can stretch a little longer if you hit it at the right moment.

Hoops!

Hoops! uses a side view and keeps each attempt simple to read. The instructions say to aim with the mouse and hold the left mouse button to build up throw power, while the page also mentions moving the platforms with A and D, the arrow keys, or clicks on the screen. That makes it feel a bit more active than a plain shooting drill, without losing the short-session structure.

Dino Basketball

Dino Basketball is the clearest kid-friendly pick on the list. It features Dino the little dinosaur, lets you choose your team, and sends you into a Championship against computer-controlled teams. The page calls it very easy to play, with all actions controlled by the mouse, so it is a natural choice for younger players or anyone who wants a very low-friction basketball game.

Nothing But Net

Nothing But Net is about making clean shots, not just any shots. There are 9 baskets in total, and 3 of them move, so you have to adjust to the changing targets while using mouse-button release timing to control the force of the shot. The game also rewards nothing-but-net shots with more points, which gives accuracy a bigger role than simple volume.

Basket Balls

Basket Balls is a straightforward physics game built around shooting as many baskets as possible. The description says you use the mouse to control the angle and power of the shot, which keeps the action easy to understand from the first attempt. It is one of the simpler options here, but that also makes it a clean casual pick.

PH2

PH2 gives each level a clear target: make at least 3 hoops from 5 tries to pass. Mouse aim and shooting do most of the work, and the spacebar cancels direction if you need to reset. That level-based structure makes it a neat choice for players who want short goals instead of a long endless score chase.

Skeleton Hoops

Skeleton Hoops puts a spooky skin on the shooting format without making it complicated. You play as a skeleton in a graveyard and try to sink as many shots as possible for the best score. Aiming uses click or touch and slide, then release to shoot, so the game stays accessible even with its unusual setting.

Shooting Threes doing that is actually pretty nice for five-minute plays. I missed three in a row on a bad cross-wind before I clocked the arrow and just started feathering the release.

i’d still play it tbh, moles with basketball is dumb in a good way. anything that isn’t another plain hoop shooter gets a pass from me
