Motorsport Manager 2 opens 10th anniversary livery competition on November 9

Motorsport Manager 2 opens 10th anniversary livery competition on November 9

Playsport Games and Miniclip have announced a Motorsport Manager 2 livery competition to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary, with submissions opening on November 9 and running for four weeks.

The studio said the contest is being revealed early so entrants have time to “get inspired, sketch ideas and plan your designs.” Before each round begins, the team will share submission details, design guidelines and vehicle references, while the competition itself will unfold across four separate vehicle categories.

Four weeks, four categories, four winners

The event is set up around a simple format: one vehicle type each week, one winner per category, and four total winning liveries. Submissions will close every Sunday, with the calendar broken down as follows:

  • Week 1 | Nov 9-15: Bike
  • Week 2 | Nov 16-22: GT Car
  • Week 3 | Nov 23-29: Endurance Team
  • Week 4 | Nov 30-Dec 6: Open Wheel 3 Team

The developer also said: “4 WEEKS. 4 VEHICLE TYPES. 4 WINNERS.”

That structure gives each round its own theme, but the studio is not boxing creators into a single style. Players are being told to build whatever kind of livery they want, from bold and classic to futuristic or motorsport-inspired designs. The announcement also says the creative direction is “entirely yours.”

How the contest will work

Playsport Games says it will provide vehicle images to help entrants get started. Those can be used in different ways: designed directly on, printed and painted over, or simply used as a reference for an original concept.

The publisher’s announcement also says, “For now, let the ideas flow.” That pre-announcement suggests the studio will reveal more detailed instructions as each round begins rather than dropping all the rules at once.

The reward pool goes beyond having a winning design recognised in game. According to the announcement, all four winning liveries will be featured in Motorsport Manager 2, and each winner can have a character based on their ideas added to the game. The studio said that includes details such as name, age, appearance, outfit and more, with the team bringing that character to life.

What winners receive in-game

The contest is tied directly to the game’s customisation and presentation side, which has long been a draw for management-game fans who like to shape a team’s identity as well as race strategy. The anniversary event extends that idea by turning community artwork into something that can appear inside the game itself.

Earlier this year, Sports Games Plus also covered another 10th anniversary promotion for the series, including a legacy-themed contest and a Motorsport Manager 2 prize. This new livery competition builds on that anniversary push, but with a much broader design brief and a longer submission window.

Players interested in taking part will need to wait until November 9, when the first round opens and the Bike category becomes available. From there, the contest runs weekly through December 6, with the final Open Wheel 3 Team round closing out the event.

The announcement ends with a direct call to action: “Grab your pens, your tablets or your paint. See you on the grid on November 9.”

bike is the only one there that feels different enough to make this fun. open wheel 3 team is probably where everyone goes full sponsor-board ugly though

Do you reckon they mean actual bike liveries, or is this one of those generic template contests where everyone ends up painting the same shape and calling it creativity? Four weeks sounds nice, but the wording makes me think the refs will do half the work. Also, are you lot entering for the in-game reward or just to see your design in Motorsport Manager 2?

Probably the template thing. contest like this always ends with safe designs and then one weird winner
