Football Manager 27 adds the Roshn Saudi League as a licensed competition
Sports Interactive has confirmed that the Roshn Saudi League will debut in Football Manager 27 as a fully licensed competition. All 18 clubs will be represented with official logos, player photos and kits, and the addition lifts the number of playable nations in FM27 to 59.
The announcement lands as Sports Interactive continues to build out FM27 before launch. The studio says the game will be free to play on PC platforms from 29 October, ahead of its worldwide release on 10 November, while also pointing fans toward a features page for a deeper look at this year’s additions.
All 18 RSL clubs are officially represented
The Roshn Saudi League arrives as a brand-new licensed league for FM27, giving managers the option of starting a save in Saudi Arabia with authentic club identity rather than generic branding. Sports Interactive said the partnership covers every club in the division, with official logos, player photos and kits included across the full competition.
That kind of coverage is a major part of the appeal for long-form Football Manager saves. Accurate branding, squad details and league structure are central to how players choose a save, and the RSL now joins the game’s expanding list of officially supported destinations. The league’s addition also increases the overall number of playable nations in FM27 to 59.
Sports Interactive described the RSL as “a brand-new licensed league for Football Manager 27” and said the partnership expands “the depth and reach of the football universe in front of you.”
Why the Roshn Saudi League has become a target for licensing
In its announcement, Sports Interactive said the Roshn Saudi League has been Asia’s No.1-ranked domestic league, according to the Asian Football Confederation. The studio also pointed to the league’s stronger international profile in recent years, saying that growth has made it a frequent request from Football Manager players.
The league’s appeal is easy to understand from the names now involved in it. Sports Interactive highlighted a roster that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Joao Felix, Ruben Neves, Yassine Bono and Ivan Toney, along with recent arrivals Ollie Watkins, Gabriel Martinelli, Crysencio Summerville and Tijjani Reijnders.
The managerial side is just as crowded. The studio said coaches including Simone Inzaghi, Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou are among those working in the 2026-27 season, giving the league a level of familiarity that should make it stand out to FM players browsing for a new challenge.
Sports Interactive also noted the RSL’s continental record, saying its clubs have won four of the past seven AFC Champions League titles. That level of success helps explain why the league has become a bigger part of football’s wider conversation and, now, a licensed option inside FM27.
What the two sides said about the deal
Business Development Director Richard Trafford said the league has been a long-requested addition and that the team was pleased to make it happen. “We’re very pleased to welcome the Roshn Saudi League as the latest addition to our roster of licensed leagues for Football Manager 27,” he said.
Trafford also stressed that the deal fits Sports Interactive’s wider plans for the region, adding that the studio looks forward to “exploring what we can achieve beyond it as we continue to grow FM’s reach in the Middle East.”
From the Saudi Pro League side, Rami Turki, General Manager – Commercial Partnerships, said the partnership gives fans a fresh way to engage with the competition. “Bringing the Roshn Saudi League to Football Manager gives fans around the world a new way to connect with our clubs and players,” he said.
Turki added that the agreement is part of the league’s digital strategy, saying it is intended to strengthen the RSL’s presence across digital platforms and make Saudi football easier to access for fans wherever they are.
FM27’s rollout is already underway
The Roshn Saudi League reveal sits alongside FM27’s wider pre-launch schedule. Sports Interactive says the game’s new foundations are designed to deliver greater control, and the studio is also encouraging fans to wishlist Football Manager 27 ahead of release.
For readers following the build-up, Sports Games Plus previously covered the free Launch Preview for PC and Mac, which is part of the game’s rollout before the full worldwide launch on 10 November.
With the Roshn Saudi League now confirmed, FM27 will give players another fully licensed route into career mode when it arrives on PC and across platforms later in November.
