FC 27 Road to the Final sets live UEFA upgrades for Ultimate Team
FIFAUTeam says the FC 27 Road to the Final event will return to Ultimate Team as a promo built around the UEFA knockout rounds, with dynamic player items tied to the Champions League, Women’s Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. The outlet lists the first FC 27 release window as an estimate, with Team 1 set to arrive on 26 March 2027 at 18:00 and leave packs on 2 April 2027 at 18:00.
The same article says Road to the Final first appeared in FIFA 19. In FC 27, the promo again mixes live items, objectives and SBCs, keeping the format that has made it a regular spring fixture in Ultimate Team. If you want the broader UEFA promo backdrop, our earlier FC 27 UEFA promo coverage tracks how EA has been handling the related Road to the Knockouts event.
How RTTF cards upgrade in FC 27
FIFAUTeam explains that Road to the Final is a special item category that replaces a player’s standard card for a limited time. Each item starts with a boosted rating and stats, then improves further if the player’s club keeps moving through UEFA knockout matches.
According to the outlet’s FAQ, FC 27 RTTF items can pick up extra boosts at specific stages of the competition:
- Win or draw the first quarter-final match: +1 PS
- Win or draw the second quarter-final match: +1 PS
- Qualify for the semi-finals: All Roles++ and +1 SM or WF
- Win or draw the first semi-final match: +1 OVR
- Win or draw the second semi-final match: +1 OVR
- Qualify for the final: +1 PS+
- Win the final: 96 OVR and 5* SM/WF
FIFAUTeam also says upgrades land at the end of each week, on Friday night, once a stage has finished. The player does not need to take part in matches for the item to improve; only the club’s progress matters. If a player leaves the club they represented when the Road to the Final campaign began, they stop being eligible for further upgrades.
FC 27 release windows listed by FIFAUTeam
The source stresses that the FC 27 dates are estimated, but it still lays out the promo’s wider calendar. Team 1 is the first wave, while the later teams are tied to the rest of the UEFA club competitions and their respective knockout finales.
FIFAUTeam’s estimated release windows are:
- Team 1: 26/03/2027 to 02/04/2027
- Team 2: 23/05/2027 to 25/05/2027
- Team 3: 26/05/2027 to 28/05/2027
- Team 4: 30/05/2027 to 01/06/2027
- Team 5: 02/06/2027 to 04/06/2027
That schedule is presented as an estimate from FIFAUTeam’s tracker rather than a confirmed EA announcement, but it gives the promo a clear shape across the spring. The site’s layout also shows that Road to the Final is not just a pack release; it is a live event tied to the outcomes of real UEFA fixtures.
Team 1 names and the SBC group
FIFAUTeam’s Team 1 reveal includes a broad mix of men’s and women’s players. Among the headline names shown are Mohamed Salah, Kylian Mbappé and Jamal Musiala, all listed at 93, along with Aurélien Tchouaméni at 92, Désiré Doué at 92, Klara Bühl at 92 and Marcus Rashford at 92.
The same team also includes Diogo Costa at 91, Irene Paredes at 91, Ryan Yates at 91, Teun Koopmeiners at 89 and Jadon Sancho at 90. On the women’s side, the page shows Vicky López at 90, Frida Maanum at 89 and Naomie Feller at 88.
Beyond the first packable squad, FIFAUTeam also lists a separate Squad Building Challenges and Objectives group for the promo. That section shown on the page includes Konrad Laimer at 90, Pau Cubarsí at 91, Lotte Wubben-Moy at 88, Sjoeke Nüsken at 88, Morten Hjulmand at 88, Eberechi Eze at 91 and Dayot Upamecano at 92.
FIFAUTeam frames Road to the Final as a tracker for the full UEFA knockout run, with upgrades landing only when clubs clear the relevant round and the next batch of items following later in the promo cycle.

the Friday night upgrade timing is the bit i care about most here, because it means you can actually watch a stage finish before the cards move. if that tracker is right, RTTF is still one of the few promos that feels tied to real matches instead of just random power creep. the only annoying part is waiting a whole week for a +1 OVR that might already be behind the curve by then
nah, that delay is what makes it decent for me. if it updated midweek people would just spam panic buys and the market would be even messier.
fair, but it still feels slow
slow is fine, but only if the card starts usable. if the base item is already behind the curve, those extra boosts don’t save it for long.
true, the starting rating matters a lot. still, a 92 that can hit 96 is way more interesting than yet another static 95 that never moves
SBC and objectives group is better than the pack team half the time. Laimer, Cubarsí, Eze, Upamecano – that’s the stuff people will actually grind for instead of hoping for Salah in a pack and getting an 84 duplicate. Live boosts only matter if the card is usable before the final anyway. otherwise it’s just another shiny spring card sitting in the club storage
money talk. the live objective cards usually age better because they can climb without costing a fortune up front, and that matters more than a flashy name at 93 on day one. Cubarsí at 91 in an objective group is the sort of thing people will remember after the first week, not another overpriced winger in packs
