EA SPORTS FC 27 adds a David Luiz-inspired Club Member Evolution

EA SPORTS has added a new Club Member reward for EA SPORTS FC 27, saying that players who play FC 27 and FC 26 by November 1, 2026 will become FC 27 Club Members and unlock a special Hall of FUT – David Luiz Pathway Evolution. The Evolution becomes available on November 1 and can be completed at a player’s own pace.

The reward joins the Club Member items already available since launch, including Red Bull-branded kits and crests in Football Ultimate Team, an AXP multiplier in The Grounds, and Gareth Bale in Manager Career and Player Career. EA SPORTS said the new Evolution is based on David Luiz’s career and gives Club Members another route to upgrade a Player Item through a themed pathway.

Where to find the new Evolution

The David Luiz reward appears in the Rewards section of the Evolution menu. EA SPORTS said players must first choose an eligible Player Item. Once submitted, that item becomes untradable while the Evolution is active, and it cannot be discarded or used in Squad Building Challenges until the process is finished.

After selecting an item, players choose an initial pathway. EA SPORTS said that pathway can be changed at any time before claiming an Evolution level, including while claiming it. The three routes all trace a different part of Luiz’s career, and each one turns that story into attribute upgrades and PlayStyles.

• Path 1: The Finisher focuses on Shooting, FK Accuracy, Shot Power, Long Shots and the Dead Ball PlayStyle.
• Path 2: The Champion adds upgrades to Defending, Physical, Passing and Penalties, plus a Defensive PlayStyle.
• Path 3: A National Hero targets Pace, Physical, Passing and Aggression, along with a build-up PlayStyle.

Brazil’s 2014 run powers The Finisher

EA SPORTS tied the first route to Luiz’s reputation as a set-piece threat for Brazil. The company said he was an anchor for the national team in more than 50 competitions, including the Summer of 2014. It highlighted his knuckleball free-kick against Colombia, which came in the 68th minute with Brazil already leading 1-0. The goal proved decisive in a 2-1 victory.

EA SPORTS also said Luiz was named captain in Brazil’s next match because a teammate was suspended, and that he helped organize a back line that included Marcelo and Maicon, with Hulk further forward. In gameplay terms, the Finisher route leans away from defensive all-rounders and toward long-range shooting and dead-ball quality.

Chelsea and Flamengo drive the other two routes

The second pathway returns to May 19, 2012 and Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League Final against Bayern Munich. EA SPORTS said Luiz started while managing recovery from a torn hamstring and played the full 90 minutes plus both periods of extra time. The Chelsea side listed by EA SPORTS included Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba and Petr Čech, while Bayern’s team sheet featured Mario Gomez, Franck Ribéry, Toni Kroos, Phillip Lahm, Bastien Schweinsteiger and Thomas Müller.

Then the final went to penalties. EA SPORTS said Luiz converted one of Chelsea’s four successful kicks, driving the ball into the top-right corner past Manuel Neuer as the club won its first-ever Champions League title. That moment sits at the center of the Champion path’s mix of defending, passing and penalty composure.

The third route follows Luiz back to Brazil after 15 years in Europe, when he signed for CR Flamengo and reached back-to-back Copa Libertadores Finals. EA SPORTS said Flamengo fell short in 2021 despite Luiz completing 120 minutes in the starting XI, before winning the title in 2022 with a 1-0 finals victory. The publisher added that Luiz became the 12th-ever player to win both a Champions League and a Copa Libertadores final, and that his Flamengo spell ended with a 75-28-29 record.

Club Member tips from EA SPORTS

EA SPORTS closed with three reminders for players working through the reward track. The first is straightforward: keep switching pathways if needed before claiming a level. The second is to use the Evolution Chain Preview before committing, so the next steps in the chain are clear. The third is to pay attention to caps, since the item’s base attributes determine how far the Evolution can go.

EA SPORTS said additional Club Member rewards are planned as FC 27 approaches the new year and beyond.
