Football Manager 27 pre-purchase adds Launch Preview access and 10% off

Sports Interactive has opened pre-purchases for Football Manager 27, giving buyers immediate access to the game’s Launch Preview on PC and Mac and a 10% discount through a SEGA-approved digital retailer. The studio says the preview will remain available until the full release on 10 November, and that progress will carry into the finished game.

The Launch Preview is available through Steam, Epic Games, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Sports Interactive notes that Game Pass access is limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, while anyone who only wants to keep tabs on the launch can wishlist FM27 and get notified when it is time to play.

Launch Preview goes beyond the old beta labels

Sports Interactive says the FM27 Launch Preview “replaces what was previously titled Beta and Advanced Access,” and that it delivers an experience that is “much closer to the official launch version.” That wording marks a clear shift in how the studio is presenting early access, with the preview positioned as the main pre-release build rather than a separate test label.

The publisher also flags the usual caveats. The notice says the build still contains information under approval from right holders and may not, at this stage, accurately reflect real-world data. It also warns that some club and player assets may be missing in this version.

Even with those limits, Sports Interactive is treating the preview as a proper bridge into launch. The studio says every tactic, training session and touchline decision will carry over into the full game on 10 November, so early progress should not be lost when release day arrives.

Free trial period has already ended

The pre-purchase offer follows a free period for the Launch Preview on PC and Mac, which Sports Interactive says ran until 3 November. The studio also says the free Launch Preview was available from 29 October to 3 November, giving players a short window to try FM27 without paying up front.

Anyone who used that free period and then pre-purchases the game gets to keep their work. Sports Interactive says save games from the free Launch Preview will continue into the paid version once the game is pre-purchased, so the first week of management does not become disposable progress.

What Sports Interactive says the offer includes

  • Immediate access to the FM27 Launch Preview on PC and Mac
  • 10% off through a SEGA-approved digital retailer
  • Availability on Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass
  • Access for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers
  • Save compatibility from the free Launch Preview into the paid version
  • Carryover into the full game on 10 November

Sports Interactive points players to its deep dive videos and blogs for more detail on FM27’s features and improvements. The studio also repeats its social handle, @FootballManager, for anyone following release updates across platforms, while FMFC sign-up remains available for newsletters, giveaways, behind-the-scenes updates and member-only content.

For readers who are still deciding how to approach FM27, the pre-purchase route now doubles as an early-access route, while the free preview window has already provided a first look at the release build. The latest announcement mainly clarifies how that preview now fits into the run-up to launch.
