Powershot Reloaded guide: how to launch big soccer shots in Fat Soccer

Powershot Reloaded is a soccer distance game built around one clear task: kick the ball as far as possible with a limited number of shots. The page now runs the HTML5 game Fat Soccer, so the version on the site is the one to play. It is free and runs in the browser on desktop and mobile with no download, which makes it easy to load up and start working on a longer kick.

The appeal comes from the setup on each attempt. You pick an angle, choose your power, and then deal with whatever is sitting between the ball and the next stretch of ground. Because the game gives only five shots, each one has to do something useful. That makes every launch feel like a small calculation instead of a simple swing.

How Powershot Reloaded plays

The page describes the game as a soccer-themed distance challenge with three different characters, angle and power selection, and five shots to use. The goal is to send the ball farther each time while keeping it alive through the obstacles in the way. The page also says your friends can help you go farther, so the run is not just about raw power; it is also about using the pieces on the field well.

The HTML5 version lists these controls:

  • WASD to move
  • J to headbutt
  • K to kick
  • Space for super blow

The mouse instructions on the page describe a two-click shot setup: click once when the arrow has the inclination you want, then click again when the power bar reaches the strength you need. That makes timing and placement matter more than button mashing.

Choosing angle and power

Good distance in this game starts before the shot leaves the foot. The angle decides where the ball travels, and the power decides how much room it has to work with. A clean line with moderate force can be better than a wild hit that sends the ball into trouble or wastes momentum early.

It helps to think about the course in sections. If the next obstacle is awkward, a safer angle may keep the ball moving and set up a better follow-up. If the space ahead is open, that is the time to commit to more power. The page’s five-shot limit makes those choices important, because there is not much room to recover from a bad launch.

Movement also matters in the HTML5 version. Since WASD is part of the control set, position is not just a background detail. Getting to the right spot before the kick can change what the shot can actually do.

Simple ways to push the ball farther

Distance games usually reward steady decisions more than rushed ones, and this one is no different. The best runs tend to come from shots that stay controlled, keep the ball in play, and avoid unnecessary collisions with obstacles. A careful line can build more distance than an overhit attempt that dies early.

Pay attention to the help on the course, too. The page specifically mentions using your friends’ help to go farther, which suggests the route can benefit from contact, setup, or support rather than pure solo power. That makes the ball path important on every shot, not just the final one.

If a shot feels wrong during the setup, it is usually better to adjust than to force it. The game gives you only five tries, so one poor angle can cost more than a slightly weaker but safer strike. Saving the ball from a bad bounce often matters more than chasing maximum power immediately.

Common mistakes on a short run

The most common mistake is loading too much power before the angle is set. A hard shot in the wrong direction usually ends the run faster than a more measured attempt. Another problem is ignoring obstacles and treating the field like it is open space. The page makes it clear that obstacles are part of the challenge, so the route matters as much as the shot itself.

It is also easy to burn through the five shots without a plan. Since the game is built around limited attempts, each one should have a job: clearing an obstacle, setting up the next touch, or extending the ball’s reach. The three available characters add another layer, but the page does not describe different abilities, so the safest approach is to pick the one that feels comfortable and keep the focus on shot quality.

More soccer games to try

If this kind of precision soccer challenge works, a few other games on the site use similar ideas in different ways. Free Kick is built around placing a shot with care. World Cup 2010 Penalty Shootout puts the focus on taking and saving penalties. Crossing Cup shifts the action to corner kicks and asks you to play either offense or defense.

Those games all stay in the soccer lane, but each one asks for a different kind of timing. If the appeal here is reading the angle, choosing power, and making one shot count, they are a natural next step.

Does the five-shot limit make this feel more like a puzzle than a soccer game? i’m trying to work out if the angle/power timing is actually skill-based or just trial and error.

mostly trial and error if you ask me. two clicks for the shot and five attempts means one bad read can just kill the run fast, especially on a school Chromebook where timing feels a bit off.

that kind of sounds like you’re saying it’s not really worth learning then lol, but if the setup is that strict wouldn’t the good runs still come from understanding the course?

fair, i wouldn’t say don’t learn it, just that the game seems harsh if you rush the meter. once you get the timing window down, the rest is more about clean angles than raw spam.

on the three characters bit, do they actually play different or is it just cosmetic? article makes it sound like a proper choice but doesn’t say what changes.

from the way it reads, probably mostly comfort pick unless the characters have hidden stats. if they dont, i’d just use whoever lines up nicest for the kick timing.

is the mobile version actually playable on a phone, or does the super blow and two-click shot setup feel awful on touch?

touch will always be the annoying part. these browser games usually look fine in the page and then the controls eat your run on phone.

yeah but this one sounds a bit more deliberate than the usual spammy phone stuff. if the mouse timing translated well, it could still be decent on mobile.

honestly just don’t overthink it – on mobile you’ll probably lose more to finger timing than angle theory. the safe play is a medium line and save the super blow for when the field opens up.

i try that but on phone the arrow moves fast and i tap wrong. maybe i should use shorter power and no hero shots at start.
