skate. Weekly Grind ends Curse of Morg and sets up Prox Chat soft launch

EA and Full Circle used The Weekly Grind – Nov. 3, 2026 to close out The Curse of Morg in skate., change how players access the Isle of Grom, and pull Proximity Chat forward to an earlier soft launch than originally planned. The post also laid out the week’s activities, named the latest screenshot contest winners, and repeated a long list of bugs the team is still tracking.

Curse of Morg ends, Isle of Grom gets a new entry rule

The event wrap-up is straightforward: The Curse of Morg has ended, and the Isle of Grom is back to its pre-Morg state. For the rest of the season, access to the island will require a 24-hour Water Taxi Day Pass for 500 Rip Chips, unless players have the skate.Premium Pass, which grants unlimited access.

Full Circle also said the Pump House has been cleaned out. The studio said Pump House Park will return when Season 5 ends, “but with less Morg.” In the same update, the team said it will share more details in the coming weeks about what comes to skate. after Season 5.

That follows the studio’s earlier confirmation that Season 5 would be the final week of The Curse of Morg, as covered in the previous Weekly Grind update.

Proximity Chat soft launch starts Nov. 9

The biggest feature change in the post is the timing of Prox Chat. Full Circle said the Proximity Chat test on the Isle of Morg brought enough conversation about expanding it that the team decided to bring the feature to players earlier than planned through a soft launch.

Starting Nov. 9, Prox Chat will be available on an opt-in basis across Downtown, The Stadium, S.U.M.R. Camp and The Isle of Grom. Players can enable it by going to Settings > Social > Proximity Voice Chat Toggle.

“We’re excited for the possibilities that Prox Chat can offer for skater-to-skater communication”

Full Circle said it is working toward a full release of the feature after Season 5 and wants more feedback as the rollout begins.

Weekly calendar, shop rotation and contest winners

The Weekly Grind also set out the near-term schedule. The post says the Weekly Grind has returned, new weekly and monthly bounties are live, “Have You Seen Him?” Part 2 started on Nov. 3, and the Isle of Morg screenshot contest winner announcement follows on Nov. 4. Brand partner realistic video contests are also on the way, with the Baker Realistic Video Contest beginning on Nov. 10 and focusing on Parry Point Park.

On the store side, the Extravert Shop is carrying band shirts from Bad Religion, Sonic Youth and Motörhead for a limited time. Full Circle said they will leave the shop on Nov. 10, 2026.

For the screenshot contest, the studio said it could not settle on just 10 winners and chose 13 instead. In no particular order, the players set to receive a Year 6 skate. Deck are:

  • OVMSkates
  • RGMRL
  • Prremium
  • redcorn
  • Antd529
  • CaptainDogguy
  • Jordanimate
  • CrispySpo0n
  • Lordo
  • Micro-Donuts
  • Operation-Riot
  • KOBIS
  • Ghostleh

Known issues still being investigated

Full Circle said the team is still working through player-reported bugs and asked people to keep sending in issues so they can be fixed. The list of known issues includes MP4 export problems, tailslides and noseslides not being detected correctly when approaching a ledge from its end, wallride detection that can cause the skater to flip unnaturally, and a Quick Ollie/Nollie into No-Foot Grab issue that causes leg clipping.

Other problems mentioned in the post include Quick Drop failing to open from the radial menu, switch or nollie 360 inward heelflip rotation on PS5 when power saving is enabled, a Session Marker reset bug that leaves the skater off-board with frozen camera tracking, low-resolution textures on some PC setups, and a bug where Proximity Voice Chat audio does not decrease with distance during a Throwdown. The studio also repeated a workaround for the Quick Drop issue: hold D-Pad Left to enter Quick Drop mode.

Additional issues on the list touch challenge progression, challenge icons, party travel, camera behaviour, and several animation and texture bugs across platforms, while the Weekly Grind also highlighted a few community screenshots and clips at the end of the post.
