REMATCH hotfixes S6.01 and S6.02 fix badge progression, contracts and crashes

REMATCH hotfixes S6.01 and S6.02 fix badge progression, contracts and crashes

Sloclap has rolled out two REMATCH hotfixes on consecutive days, with S6.01 released on October 28, 2026 and S6.02 following on October 29. The pair of updates concentrates on the game’s new Contracts and Badges systems, while also addressing crashes, achievements, communication bugs and several display problems.

The hotfixes arrive after Season 6’s wider rollout, which introduced Contracts and new communication options. Sports Games Plus covered that season launch in our Season 6 report, along with the earlier 1.206.000 patch.

Badges and contracts absorb most of the fixes

Progression issues dominate both notes. In S6.01, Sloclap said it had “tweaked progression values for several Badges,” then listed a run of repairs tied to the new system. The studio fixed the Remontada Badge condition, “As a team, come back from a 3+ goal deficit to equalize,” after it failed to progress properly. It also corrected the Ghost Badge, where “Dodge a tackle” was being credited to the player who made the tackle rather than the one controlling the ball.

S6.01 also fixed badge-collection navigation that could send players to the Career tab instead of the Collection tab, along with a mismatch between the level shown in the main menu and the level shown in match. Sloclap also repaired missing highlight displays on the Player Profile after upgrading a Contract and receiving rewards, and it restored new-item highlights on the Season 6 Captain Pass button.

S6.02 continued that cleanup. Sloclap said the new progression system had also affected trophies and achievements, fixing an issue where the Pro and Expert trophies would not increment properly. More Badge and Contract fixes followed, including the Box to box Badge and the I’ll do it myself Badge not incrementing properly, and the We got this! Badge not incrementing correctly.

Other Badge and Contract repairs in S6.02 included:

  • placeholder text appearing in Player Card banner titles during goal celebrations instead of Player Level
  • incorrect information on the Contracts page once the Icon Contract Level was reached
  • empty Badge slots showing on previous Contracts
  • Badge slots still being visible after the Icon Contract Level was reached
  • the “Unequip” action on the Badge Attribution page only working for the first Badge slot
  • clicking the Goal Badge category redirecting to Attack instead

Crash fixes and communication updates

S6.02 starts with a simple line: “Fixed multiple crashes.” That is the broadest stability fix in the post, but S6.01 still handled a few other problems outside progression. It fixed an issue where the updated Quick Chat news pop-up did not show for players who had already launched the game during Season 5, and it addressed a microphone bug that left the mic unmuted after being selected in the Social tab during a match.

S6.01 also corrected a scoreboard problem that could leave no player credited with a goal when the ball deflected into the net off a teammate. On the customization side, Sloclap fixed a bug where a player’s own color palette could appear on another player’s Player Card Victory Mood.

The second hotfix adds further cleanup across inventory and item naming. Sloclap said some customization items were missing because of mismatched IDs, listing Daron (Beard), Season 1 Bronze and Season 1 Silver backgrounds, the Season 1 Bronze and Season 1 Silver player avatars, and the Season 1 Christmas background and player avatar. It also fixed incorrect item names in Contract rewards and mismatched names for several Season 6 character customization items.

One visual issue remains in the notes as a known problem: the VFX icon was showing on the Taiga 150 shoes even though they have no VFX. Sloclap says it also fixed an issue where certain image formats caused display issues when launching the game.

Known issues still listed after the two hotfixes

Even after both updates, Sloclap’s notes keep a live known-issues section open. On gameplay, the studio says the player is very briefly locked out of any action right after a Ball Control. It also lists a ball deviation issue when it hits a player in Defense Mode above the head, inconsistent deflection behavior on Forward Dash, and a rare case where a goalkeeper’s dive catch can be canceled by another player’s Ball Control.

Other gameplay bugs still noted include a backward Ball Control jitter in Defense Mode while the ball is bouncing slightly, the ball sometimes going in the wrong direction after a backward dribble followed by a Push Ball, and a lock-in-place bug that can happen if a player holds Defense Mode while sprinting and then tries to move in the opposite direction. Sloclap also says the ball can snap back when canceling a volley shot with Ball Control.

In communication, the Quick Chat wheel is still visible to spectators during goal celebrations and the Victory Mood sequence, and the unmuted state is not saved after leaving a match. Match flow still has a known issue where players are not present in the Pre-match Corridor Sequence after joining a match. In customization, Sloclap says some items are still missing from players’ inventories and will be restored progressively.

The remaining Contract and Badge issues listed are the illegible Badge category text on the Contracts page, overlapping Badge level-up text on the end-of-match screen, and the Badge “We got this!” not incrementing correctly.

two hotfixes in two days just to stop badge progress eating itself… classic REMATCH lifecycle. at least they’re actually touching Contracts instead of pretending it’s fine.

did the Remontada one actually work for you after this, or is it still busted in live matches? i keep seeing weird progress on the new badges.

Bold of you to assume the fix sticks. Publishers love a clean patch note more than a clean match.
